WE SUPPORT THE SAALBURG ROMAN FORT

Impressed by the importance of the Saalburg for our own history due to its Roman and modern roots, and fascinated by the site in the marvellous Taunus landscape, we want to support projects for the museum and research institute that cannot be financed from the existing budget.

These projects include construction work, technical equipment, research work, publications, exhibitions, museum education projects, public relations work and events.

In addition to financial support, advice and assistance are also welcome.

We invite you to help achieve these goals through your membership and/or donation.

You want to become a member – we will return the favor:

You have free entry to the Saalburg.
You also have free entry to the museum Keltenwelt am Glauberg.
We organize excursions to archaeologically interesting places for you (see below).
We will inform you about events, exhibitions and other activities at the Saalburg.
We will introduce you to the projects that are being realized with the help of the support association.
The museum shop also offers support association members a discount of 20 % on handicrafts, jewelry and replicas.

KITCHEN AND WORKSHOP FUNDING PROJECT

Since June 2014, the workshops of a bone carver, a shoemaker and a food stall in the Fabrica of the Saalburg Roman fort have been open to visitors. With the active support of the Saalburg Association and committed sponsors, it has been possible to vividly present the working world of Roman craftsmen.

FUNDING PROJECT NEW MUSEUM CASE

Since October 2024, the new museum suitcase can be borrowed by teachers and brings Roman antiquity on the Limes into the classroom.

Thanks to the generous support of the Saalburg eV support association, the museum education team was able to completely redesign the contents of the museum case and adapt it to the demands of modern teaching.
