MUSEUM EDUCATION

The museum education programme at Saalburg Castle is dedicated to vividly conveying Roman history and archaeology. The reconstructed fort with its extensive interior buildings, the extensive collections of original Roman finds and the surrounding archaeological park with numerous artefacts from the past provide the perfect setting for experiencing Roman history and life on the Limes at first hand.

ACTIVITIES FOR DIFFERENT TARGET GROUPS

The Saalburg's educational program offers a wide range of activities for different target groups. Preschool children, schoolchildren and young people, adults and seniors, people with visual impairments or mobility restrictions - we have a suitable program for everyone. Our visitors can experience Roman soldiers, travel to Roman times with the puppet Claudius, explore the fort and its surroundings on guided tours, take guided hikes along the Limes, prove their suitability for the Roman army and the team spirit of their group in activity programs and much more.
