MUSEUM EDUCATION

The Saalburg museum education is dedicated to the clear teaching of Roman history and archaeology. The reconstructed fort with its extensive interior development, the extensive collections of original Roman finds and the surrounding archaeological park with numerous evidence of the past offer the appropriate setting to experience Roman history and life on the Limes up close.

ACTIVITIES FOR DIFFERENT TARGET GROUPS

The Saalburg's educational museum offer offers a wide range of activities for different target groups. Preschool children, schoolchildren and young people, adults and seniors, people with visual impairments or mobility restrictions – we have a suitable program for everyone. Our visitors can experience Roman soldiers, travel to Roman times with the doll Claudius, explore the fort and its surroundings on guided tours, take guided hikes along the Limes, and demonstrate their suitability for the Roman army and the team spirit of their group in activity programs and much more.
