DISCOVER SAALBURG

Families can explore the Saalburg on their own or take part in a public tour. In the various exhibition areas you will find numerous archaeological finds from all walks of life. Informative accompanying texts explain the content presented and reconstructed rooms such as a crew room and the dining room of a cavalry officer allow you to experience the living conditions of the time first hand.

We reserve the right to cancel or change tours at short notice for important reasons. You will be informed immediately of the cancellation or change via the contact information you provided. In the event of a cancellation, costs will be refunded immediately if payments have already been made.

Claims for damages by participants are excluded.

Children's tour

Guided tour with focus selection

You can choose between 3 thematic focuses for the tour: Guided tour inside the fort (intra muros), guided tour outside the fort (extra muros) or guided tour to the Limes.

Max. 30 people. Duration: approx. 45 minutes. Cost: €40 plus reduced entry €6 per adult and €2 per child (children under 6 years free) (from 01.01.2025 50 € plus reduced admission)

Children's tour doll Claudius

For children aged 5 to 7 years

The tours with the Claudius doll are aimed at preschool children. In an age-appropriate manner, the children are told what life was like at the Saalburg back then, how the Romans lived and dressed.

Duration: approx. 1 hour. Preschool children, 5-7 years, maximum 15 children. Cost: €40 plus reduced entry: €2 per child (from 6 years) and €6 per adult (from 01.01.2025 50 € plus reduced admission)

For those who want to go on a discovery tour of the Saalburg on their own, we have designed two rally sheets for different age groups.
