The new exhibition on mural paintings from Echzell is now on display

The Saalburg Roman Fort is pleased to announce the opening of a new permanent exhibition dedicated to the wall paintings from Echzell. The focus of the exhibition is the reconstructed dining room of a Roman cavalry officer, which impresses with its detailed wall paintings.

Visitors have the opportunity to delve deeply into the Roman world of art and everyday life. The exhibition explains the techniques used in ancient wall painting and provides insights into the themes and motifs. The colorful frescoes show scenes from Greek legends and depictions of Roman gods.
