Apollo and his sons – bow making weekend in the Saalburg

Apollo, god of archers, is the patron saint of our adventurous weekend for fathers and sons with bow making, games, campfires and more. The course offers a special opportunity to spend intensive time together, learn interesting facts about archery and of course get involved in crafts yourself.

Each team uses simple means to make a good, functional bow made of rattan, which they then try out. Overnight stays in the historic buildings of the Saalburg round off this special experience.

The course is for fathers with one son each (from 9 to 13 years old).

Duration: Friday, July 14th, 4 p.m. to Sunday, July 16, 2023, approx. 2 p.m
Costs: EUR 250.00 per parent-child team (including entry, materials, overnight stays in the fort, meals: two breakfasts, lunches and dinners each)
Please bring a sleeping mat, sleeping bag and flashlight. We will send further information after registration.
