Sunday Romans – Greenwood turning and soldiers of the Cohors II Hispanorum
To mark the opening of the newly designed crew room, called Contubernium by the Romans, a family day with Sunday Romans will take place.
The auxiliary soldiers recount their daily lives in the Roman army. At the greenwood turner's stall, craft enthusiasts of all ages can try their hand at various lathes.
In addition to these Sunday Roman events, there are craft and hands-on programs for all ages, as well as hourly guided tours of the Saalburg. All of the Saalburg's exhibitions, including the hall with Roman games and a painting table, are also open.
