Theme day Anno 1900: The Saalburg is built
This theme day on the early days of the Saalburg Museum is dedicated to the laying of the foundation stone of the Principia, the main building of the Saalburg. This was celebrated in the autumn of 1900 with a large costume party and an "ancient Roman celebration" and this year marks the 125th anniversary. To mark this occasion, we will revive the early days of the Saalburg Museum and present a special program.
Take a journey back in time to the Wilhelminian era with authentic actors and actresses or experience an exhibition just like it was back then. Demonstrations, background information and activities provide amazing insights into the early days of the Saalburg and the foundation stone can of course still be seen on site.

Discounts and group prices are not granted for these events with a particularly extensive programme.
All guided tours, demonstrations and hands-on activities are included in the regular admission price.
