12:00 AM - Public tours
This theme day on the early days of the Saalburg Museum is dedicated to the laying of the foundation stone of the Principia, the main building of the Saalburg. This was celebrated in the autumn of 1900 with a large costume party and an "ancient Roman celebration" and this year marks the 125th anniversary.
During a joint tour of the museum grounds, the museum education team introduces teachers from all types of schools to the most important areas...
This course is all about working with metal: hammering, bending, and filing. Unfortunately, this workshop is already fully booked.
Learn about two important craft techniques from antiquity: metalworking and woodworking. The craftsmen and women invite you to join in.

The soldiers of the 4th Vindeliker Cohort report on the everyday life of the men who were stationed at the Saalburg. They are accompanied by a beneficiary who, as a soldier, had police-like duties.
