The Taberna, the Saalburg museum restaurant, offers all guests the opportunity to try culinary delicacies from Roman cuisine. Try a selection of dishes based on Roman recipes and end the afternoon relaxing in the museum restaurant and museum.

Christmas is fast approaching. The first Christmas markets open, and soon it will smell like mulled wine and cookies everywhere. To bring some relaxation to the families, our museum restaurant Taberna is offering a Christmas buffet for the first time.

PUBLIC TOURS
Sunday (November–February): 2 p.m together for adults and children
Sunday (March-October): 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m Separate tours for adults and children from school age
Each participant will receive a sticker at the checkout, which must be worn visibly.
Duration: approx. 45 minutes. Adults: €5, children: €3 plus admission

Diana, Apollo and their children - bow-making weekend in the Saalburg
Apollo, god of archers, and Diana, goddess of the hunt, are the patron saints of our adventurous weekends for parents and children with bow making, games, campfires and more. This course is especially designed for mothers with daughters.

Theme day Anno 1900: The Saalburg is built
This theme day on the early days of the Saalburg Museum is dedicated to the laying of the foundation stone of the Principia, the main building of the Saalburg. This was celebrated in the autumn of 1900 with a large costume party and an "ancient Roman celebration" and this year marks the 125th anniversary.
